Note: The difference between the Hebrew and Christian Bible is mostly the absence of the 'New Testament'. Downloadable Tanakh - Hebrew Bible
The downloads found on this page come in two forms. I agonized as to which I preferred, and never could decide so I'm offering them both. The only difference between the two is one uses G-d with the dash for the 'o', and the other doesn't. If you feel strongly the dash should be used, and you've come through the index page, your value system hasn't been violated. For those of you unfamiliar with the incomplete word useage, the reasoning is that to erase the name of G-d is forbidden, so never completing the word hasn't desecrated the holiness believers ascribe to G-d, when they close a page. For the most part, I've left the words like Lord and Almighty alone, as they are descriptive of a certain attribute, and not the name of G-d. These derivatives of the Tanakhs in English came from open sources, and I reduced them to Jewish writings. The PDAs are different versions from the Full Sized versions. I only plan to edit the full sized. If you see errors in that one, please feel free to email me.
